The speaker lounge is a place for you to relax, work on your final touches, get your game face on, and also meet other speakers. Our speaker lounge will have some refreshments, necessities, and odds and ends you might need. Do let us know any ideas you’d like to see available in the lounge—we’ll do our best to accommodate!
Accessing the Lounge: The lounge is directly under the Old Metropolitan Hall. You can access it through the Old Met during session breaks, or you can come and go via our super secret “Speak-Easy” entrance. Three doors down from the Old Met you’ll find the local restaurant Brasserie Saison. There’s a side-door to the right of Brasserie that will lead you to the speaker lounge (there will be some subtle signage to guide you). Be aware, there are stairs and no elevator.

Keep in mind:
- You’ll be presenting from your own laptop, so ensure you have all the appropriate connectors and pointers and HDMI adapters and dongles and USB thingies you might need.
- Preferred screen aspect ratio: 16:9 — Please craft your slideshow accordingly.
- Preferred projector connector: HDMI — If your laptop doesn’t have an HDMI connector please let us know right away.
- Contrast: While some of the rooms will be dark enough for dark-themed slides, most will be light enough for folks to take notes…which means you need to ensure sufficient contrast from the back of the room.
Please send your presentation slides to firstname.lastname@example.org by September 20. Preferred format is a PDF or a link to a service like Slideshare. We’ll post these to your session page so attendees can download and follow along.
Have you made your hotel reservations yet? Unless special arrangements have been made with edUi planners, you are responsible for booking your own hotel room.
