Based on the (wildly successful) session in 2015, this public square will offer a plethora of free to cheap tools that are crucial for any web developer, communicator, social media manager, etc., working in the higher ed, library, and museum fields. Valerie Harness will present the current curated list of tools, broken into functional sections and covering anything from graphics resources to editorial calendaring charts, analytics best practice resources to favorite webinars.
Come ready to chime in and lead the group to new and ever-inspiring tools that we can all share, love, and return to throughout 2017! This session doesn’t work unless we all share, so if you’re feeling shy about speaking out during the session, please feel free to contact Valerie beforehand and send her your suggestions.
Access to a continually-updated Google doc with all tools will be supplied during the session.
What you’ll discuss:
- What tools you simply can't function without in your day to day
- What resources you find helpful when attempting to learn more about skills or topics in our professional field
- The little tools that make your life just a little bit better (I'm looking at you, Place Kitten)
