Denise Jacobs, Paul Boag, Stephanie SullivanWe seek dynamic speakers willing to share their knowledge and expertise about Web design, user experience design and development. Preference is given to presentations that offer practical methods and ready-to-use techniques and tools.

You can look at our programs from previous years for inspiration (2009, 2010, 2011) or come up with something so totally mind-blowing and new that we can’t possibly imagine this conference without it.

Deadline for Proposals: June 15, 2012

Notification of program committee’s decisions by July 6.

Speakers Attend Free

We don’t believe in making speakers pay to attend. I mean, without you there wouldn’t be an us. So if your proposal is accepted you attend for free (but you still have to get yourself here).

We’ll also offer a 10% discount just for submitting a proposal even if we don’t accept it.  The discount code is given on the confirmation screen as soon as you submit your proposal. If you register now and your proposal is accepted, we’ll issue a full refund.

Tracks

We’re looking for topics that fit into one of the following four tracks.  Presentations should be approximately one hour long, including time for Q&A.

Web 101

This track will cover the basic building blocks of web design, user experience, and user interface design.

Problem Solved

What problem did you face at your institution and what was the solution that saved the day?

Toolbox

These sessions should focus on a particular tool and how to use it. Tools can be specific programs, JavaScript libraries, or techniques and practices.

The Edge

Cutting edge, bleeding edge, beyond the cutting edge, whatever you want to call it, this is what’s on the horizon.
